| Welcome to Lakeview Jersey Dairy
We are a pasture based dairy farm located outside of Mtn. View, MO. We do NOT give BST to our cows! We started milking in April 1990 in a new level floor, 4 stanchion barn. After milking in this barn for 6 yrs, we got tired of squatting to milk the cows. So, in 1996 we added onto the barn and build a 6 on each side herribgbone barn. We started with just 13 Jersey Heifers and how our herd has grown. We usually sell all the bull calves born and sometimes sell a group of Jersey heifers once a year. This year will be different, as we plan on retiring from milking in 2 yrs. Starting in late May we will be AI breeding all of our Jersey and Jersey x Milking Shorthorn cows with New Zealand Kiwi Bulls. When our cows calf in March of 2009, all the cows will be sold and we will be keeping all the heifers calfs. Every year we will sell these springer heifers (after calving) and keeping the heifer calves. If you have a need in the future for Kiwi crossed dairy heifers, give us a call.
